Empower Sacramento's Creative Community

I am proud to be a co-founder and Co-director of Capitol Creative Alliance. CCA is a nonprofit that helps local creatives succeed through education, networking, and mentorship opportunities. I’ve set a personal goal to raise $500 to help fund our year-round work — and I’d love your help reaching it. The funds raised will help my team and I continue to bridge the gap between creative professionals and career opportunities. CCA is a labor of love to say the least!

This year, we aim to:

• Host four Creativity Speaks sessions, our moderated discussion series that features diverse perspectives from creative professionals across disciplines (chefs, artists, filmmakers, etc.). It fosters cross-discipline collaboration and showcases local talent to the public.

• Host our annual cornerstone program, Design Week Sacramento, that showcases our diverse creative economy through 10+ community events (tours, workshops at local businesses and organizations) and a 2-day conference. It connects emerging and established professionals, attracting over 500 regional and national attendees and speakers annually and empowering our community members with new skills, industry knowledge, and connections.

• Deepen existing partnerships and build new partnerships with fellow community-based organizations that support the Sacramento creative community. 

• Improve and expand our professional development opportunities, which include our internship, mentorship, and volunteer programs. 

• Grow our advocacy efforts to increase support of the creative sector among government representatives.
