MERISTEM: Plant the seed. Watch them flourish. Autism Acceptance!

$14,610

raised by 34 people

$15,000 goal

My son Alex will turn 25 this year!  For many on the autism spectrum (like our family), Meristem has been a game-changer.

Here's why we're asking for your support this Big Day of Giving, May 7, 2026:

  • The need is real. Families like ours search endlessly for programs that teach young adults real-world skills — budgeting, cooking, transportation, friendships. Finding that support can feel impossible.

  • Meristem fills that gap. It's a one-of-a-kind transition program in Fair Oaks where young adults with autism learn by doing — working in local businesses, volunteering, and building lasting friendships.

  • The results are life-changing. Families watch their young adults become more confident, capable, and connected. That kind of transformation changes everything.

  • Every dollar makes a difference. Your gift funds scholarships, strengthens programs, and keeps Meristem's doors open for the families who need it most.

  • Sharing matters, too. If giving isn't possible right now, passing this page along to someone you know is just as powerful.

Alex is my reason for writing this, but he's not the only one. So many young adults deserve the chance to grow into the people they were meant to be — and so many families are hoping that chance will come.

Please give to Meristem by May 7 and help us build a future where no family has to search alone.

With gratitude, joy, and hope,

Donna and Alex Courville
