By the end of elementary school, many girls begin to lose confidence in themselves. Girls on the Run of Greater Sacramento is working to change that,  giving girls the tools they need to believe in themselves, build healthy relationships, and navigate life with strength and confidence.

Girls on the Run is an evidence-based program that combines movement with meaningful life lessons. Through an engaging, research-backed curriculum, girls develop critical skills like resilience, empathy, decision-making, and teamwork, all while training for a celebratory 5K that shows them just how capable they are.

This program isn’t just about running. It’s about helping girls discover their voice, stand up for themselves, and support one another.
