Homelessness is an epidemic and who are helping the unhoused students and students in need in schools? Due to this growing need, last year we had reached a total of 18,000 students with 4,000+ students utilizing the free hygiene kits in California Schools. 8 more schools in the Del Paso Heights will be supported in the next few weeks.
Our ongoing hygiene kit program is now in 13 school districts, which includes two colleges and we have also included an Ambassador program. Many of the schools have Wellness Centers and we are now including the hygiene kits in these centers to help keep the unhoused students and students in need stay clean, confident and mentally ready to learn.
I am happy to announce that we have partnered with CSM, Bombas, Yuba County Department of Health and Human Services, Neighborhood Fund, Sacramento Kings, Perfectly Posh, Clean the World, Dr. Michael Larson at Yuba City Orthodontics, and Catchlight Studios.
Interesting fact...our CEO Daysha Trujillo started her Trukidz program at the age of 13 and is now 19 years old. She is a student at Jessup University and is a Bio/Chem major. She is finishing up her first half of her Junior year this week!
