If you know me, you know that every year I commit to one marathon on behalf of a worthy charity organization. Well, it's Marathon time again! This year I have decided to run the California International Marathon and to make this effort more meaningful I will be running on behalf of Runnin' for Rhett. The more I heard about this amazing organization, the more convinced I was that this was something that would motivate me to put in the miles everyday.

Through Runnin’ for Rhett’s Youth Fitness Program, kids across the Sacramento community are getting the chance to discover the joy of movement, build confidence, and cross their own finish lines—often for the very first time. And it’s free for every child.

Not only do they support and encourage these deserving kids, but the adult fitness programs are like nothing I have seen in any community. The amount of programming that is offered, the variety of activities and the engagement by the Blue Crew is so inspiring. If more communities had access to the kind of programming that Runnin' for Rhett provides, we would be a much healthier and happier nation!!!
