The Grove is a 50-sleeping cabin community providing emergency bridge housing for transitional-age youth ages 18-24. The Grove goes beyond providing shelter; it embodies a comprehensive program that empowers and uplifts young individuals. Its Rapid Re-housing Program extends support to clients for up to a year, including ongoing case management services after they leave the shelter. Collaborating closely with case managers, clients co-create personalized plans that outline specific goals and expectations, which have proven vital for fostering continued growth and paving the way for lasting success. The Grove does not have a laundry room, and residents are limited to sending out a 5-lb maximum bag of clothing each week for laundering. Not only is this a significant expense to the nonprofit, it prevents residents from developing the important life skill of doing their laundry. The builder captain is championing the complete renovation of an existing space (demo, plumbing, flooring, etc) to be an operational laundry room.
