$10,000 Goal

Sacramento Autistic Spectrum and Special Needs Alliance is a 501c3 nonprofit movement.

We are a service provider and community movement pioneering a new system of care and support for mentally diverse young people ages zero through twenty-two years and their families in the Greater Sacramento region.

Our approach

What we do is unique - no one else does it in the region, perhaps no one else anywhere. We are professional social workers and advocates that use a flexible social services model to comprehensively serve the needs of individuals with autism, ADHD, OCD, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, and other brain-based diagnoses, and to also drive system-wide change to improve outcomes for all mentally diverse young people in our geographic area. The key to best outcomes for mentally diverse young people is a comprehensive, holistic, and individualized system of care and support that focuses on personal goals and quality of life, and that key is the service that we provide. We have a wide breadth of expertise, and you can think of us as a one-stop shop for high-quality assistance for mentally diverse young people and their families - we can help with almost anything.

Providing case management, advocacy, special programs + beyond

Our world-class case management offers complete guidance to optimizing outcomes for mentally diverse children and young adults and troubleshooting challenges. Advocacy helps you get what you need - from government agencies, school systems, insurance plans, health providers, employers and more. Periodic special programs offer unique opportunities. And beyond. Let us know what you need.

The heart + accessibility of a 501c3 nonprofit

SASSNA is a nonprofit organization and 501c3 charity, which means that we exist to serve, not to make money. Generally, we do not charge mandatory fees for our services - instead, we ask that clients make monetary contributions based upon what they can afford. Essentially, you pay what you are able to. This allows everyone to access our services regardless of their financial situation. We also rely on fundraising and community donations to keep our doors open.

Mission

Our mission is simple: to facilitate the best possible adult outcomes for mentally diverse young people ages zero through twenty-two years in the Greater Sacramento region.

Needs

Funding is our most pressing need. We are an overwhelmingly busy organization with modest resources. We rely on donations from our clients and the community in general in order to pay our bills.

We are currently interested in adding members to our board of directors.
