   Support Winters Nonprofits

Winters is a wonderful community that — like other small, rural towns — faces financial, technological, and infrastructure challenges that can disadvantage our students. Winters Education Foundation aims to expand educational offerings in the public school system and ensure that vital programs, cherished by teachers, administrators, parents, and students, do not fall victim to budgetary shortfalls.

That’s where Winters Education Foundation comes in.

An all-volunteer team, we strive to put every dime contributed by community members like you toward important projects proposed by educators at all schools throughout the district.

During the 2022-2023 academic year, donations from the community have made more than a dozen projects possible! From technology that introduces students to coding to scholarships that subsidize the cost of outdoor education, from culturally relevant books to physical education equipment, our community's support makes educational opportunities possible for Winters students!

Mission

To raise sufficient funds to ensure continued educational excellence and equal educational opportunities for every child in a Winters public school classroom.

Needs

Winters Education Foundation uses donations to fund the annual grants we make to Winters educators in support of specific program needs that cannot be met through schools budgets. We also have an endowment to build capital as a legacy to the community. Funds from the endowment will support major projects, such as technology infrastructure upgrades, as well as requests for ongoing funding (for instance, for outdoor education) long into the future.

In addition to funding, WEF always seeks energetic and determined Board Members, and volunteers to head fundraising and other efforts.
