What is the SNOW Sports Museum?
The future home of the SNOW Sports Museum will be a community hub offering year-round enrichment that supports educational programs for history, arts & culture. With over 200 years of memorabilia, including the legendary 1960 Winter Olympics, will be preserved, shared, displayed, and celebrated in a modern facility of architectural significance.
A community multi-purpose room will provide space for educational programs, lectures, films, small conferences, and meetings, and the first Western Winter Sports Hall of Fame – a centerpiece of the building – will honor regional Olympians, athletes, leaders, and legends of our western wintersport history.
Our Mission is to preserve the winter sports and Olympic history of the Sierra Nevada Region, to share stories of the legends of winter, and to inspire generations to experience the wonder and passion of our unique mountain spirit.
