Executive Director and co-founder Trudy Harris has over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit community, including Boys & Girls Clubs and corporate community volunteer engagement. She has always been involved in philanthropy and community service and has assisted on various committees and advisory boards for many Sacramento area projects, including family support, disaster relief, senior services, nonprofit collaboration, interfaith projects, and community events.
Since we opened our doors in 2016, we have partnered with over 125 nonprofit organizations in the greater Sacramento region. We are proud of the way our work reaches all aspects of the community, creating cooperative relationships between nonprofits and the corporate, individual, and public sectors. Team Giving was established to ensure meaningful volunteerism and develop partnerships with local community members and we have succeeded in forwarding this goal over the years.
We have successfully developed and lead volunteer initiatives throughout the Sacramento region. A volunteer hour is currently valued at $29.95. In just four years, we have successfully connected 24,000 volunteer hours with more than 125 nonprofits representing over $718,000 in value for our local nonprofit community.
