Executive Director and co-founder Trudy Harris has over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit community, including Boys & Girls Clubs and corporate community volunteer engagement. She has always been involved in philanthropy and community service and has assisted on various committees and advisory boards for many Sacramento area projects, including family support, disaster relief, senior services, nonprofit collaboration, interfaith projects, and community events.
Since we opened our doors in 2016, we have partnered with over 125 nonprofit organizations in the greater Sacramento region. We are proud of the way our work reaches all aspects of the community, creating cooperative relationships between nonprofits and the corporate, individual, and public sectors. Team Giving was established to ensure meaningful volunteerism and develop partnerships with local community members and we have succeeded in forwarding this goal over the years.
We have successfully developed and lead volunteer initiatives throughout the Sacramento region. A volunteer hour is currently valued at $29.95. In just four years, we have successfully connected 24,000 volunteer hours with more than 125 nonprofits representing over $718,000 in value for our local nonprofit community.
Team Giving is a certified Service Enterprise Program trainer with Points of Light Foundation, offering their comprehensive and innovative volunteer utilization program. Service Enterprise is an
in-depth comprehensive program that offers tools to help nonprofits gain a greater return on volunteer investment and better achieve their mission.

Team Giving's mission is to connect volunteers, empower nonprofits, and strengthen communities. Our work supports nonprofits by addressing vital social needs for our communities while strengthening and supporting the good work of our nonprofit partners.
Our volunteer support services are provided at no cost to the nonprofit or the volunteer. Funding from the public will provide Team Giving with the resources to sustainably meet the ever-increasing demand for our volunteer programs that support our nonprofit partners.
$2,500 will sponsor a nonprofit organization to complete our Service Enterprise Certification program, substantially increasing their ability to recruit, retain and increase their volunteer pool. The program offers organizational tools that, through a thoughtful change management process, stabilize and strengthen their organization. Our goal is to have 4-5 nonprofits complete the 6-8 month program,starting their training in Spring 2022.
$4,500 funds our Hands On Connect volunteer management platform which effectively facilitates our volunteer engagement by providing easy registration for volunteer projects, tracks volunteers hours, and helps us measure our social impact. This program is critical to the management of all aspects of our volunteer activities.
$3000 will sponsor 6 nonprofits for a Service Enterprise diagnostic and analyzation of their current volunteer activity and needs. This enables us to identify which nonprofits would most benefit from becoming a Service Enterprise Certified Nonprofit.
