Welcome to MOSAIC Children’s Museum 

Where curiosity leads to discovery, and play becomes learning.

 MOSAIC stands for Museum of Science, Art, Imagination, and Creativity, and every corner of our space encourages children to experiment, create, and grow through play!

Located in downtown Woodland, MOSAIC is a hands-on, play-based children’s museum designed for young children ages 1–8 and the grown-ups who explore alongside them. Since opening in December 2023, we’ve welcomed thousands of young learners and families from across Yolo County and beyond. In 2025, we were honored to be voted Best Museum in Yolo County, a reflection of the incredible support from our community and volunteers.

Our 2026 Goals 

Your support helps sustain daily operations while moving us toward three exciting priorities: 

 Expanding community workshops 
 Increasing financial accessibility so all families can visit 
 Planning for a larger future facility to serve growing demand

Mission

Our Mission is to inspire and empower young children through hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Vision is to be a lifelong community resource that helps shape the future of Yolo County by nurturing a curious, confident, and engaged young generation.

Needs

What your gift can do

Because we are 100% volunteer-run, every dollar goes directly toward operations, exhibits, and programming. Year-round funding allows us to:

 Refresh and build exhibits

 Stock our art room with creative supplies

 Bring MOSAIC into the community through festivals and school events (you may have seen us at school fairs, the Honey Festival and other celebrations!)

 Expand awareness so more families can benefit from MOSAIC

Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a real difference. Your donation can buy:

$50 — One month of art supplies

$75 — Play food for imaginative pretend play

$150 — New projector lamp for our AR Sandbox

$500 — Pulley system for the Farm & Barn exhibit

$1,000 — Materials to build a new Air Maze

$5,000 — New flooring
