What is Lincoln Theatre Company? The Lincoln Theatre Company has a talented Board of Directors and staff who know theater business. We have demonstrated the ability to bring a professional theater experience to Lincoln and its environs for the benefit of the entire community. We are about to conclude our tenth successful season of shows with the American classic, Brighton Beach Memoirs by Neil Simon. Earlier this season our audiences loved A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, our popular LTC Cabaret-style production of Rogers and Hammerstein music in A Grand Night for Singing. Our other non-musical production was the hilarious comedy, Don't Dress for Dinner.
Our 2026-2027 Season begins in the fall with an Tony Award winning musical comedy, Bright Star featuring the inventive musical score written by Steve Martin. For the holiday season, we'll present the popular familyn classic, Miracle on 34th Street. Next, we are proud to offer what we believe will be the region's first community theater presentation of Come From Away, the heart-warming muical story about how the tiny population of Gander, Greenland welcomed and cared for thousands of travelers while the skys were shut down after 911. We'll conclude the season with the hilarious British comedy, Calendar Girls.
Our 2025 Goal of $30,000 to Meet These Needs - After 12 years its time to replace and upgrade aging equipment needed to maintain and enhance your enjoyment. Current plans a call for replacing 12 more channels of wireless microphone transmitters and receivers ($20,000), and better equipping our popular snack bar operation ($5,000).
Working to improve the Lincoln Civic Auditorium - Your support of Lincoln Theatre Company promotes city improvements in the Lincoln Civic Auditorium. By attending performances and providing financial support, you demonstrate the community's desire for local performing arts. This encourages the City of Lincoln, working with LTC, to continue investing in improvements to this historic performing arts center. For the 2025-2026 season, we facilitated the City's installation of scenic projection capability and initial steps toward installation of raised seating.
Looking toward the future - We envision a place where we can provide you with an outstanding theatrical experience. Is there such a place in Lincoln? There can be, but the cost of locating and evaluating such places is beyond our normal operating budget. Our development fund is growing and we are seeking grants and sponsorships. Your Big Day of Giving donations demonstrate that you support our efforts to get closer to our goal.
