Kindred Spirits Fawn Rescue is the only nonprofit, totally volunteer-based organization rescuing fawns in Placer, Yolo, Nevada, Solano and Sacramento counties. We are licensed by the California Department of Fish & Wildlife and active members of the California Council of Wildlife Rehabilitators and the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association. Our organization relies totally on donations from the public as we receive no government funds to support our valuable community service. Our continued public outreach and educational programs have increased our exposure and awareness in the communities we serve. This has also increased the number of fawns we rescue each year. In 2020, alone we rescued 195 fawns!
Kindred Spirits Fawn Rescue is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned fawns in Placer, Yolo, Nevada, and Sacramento counties. We promote the ideology of holding close the unforgettable experience of living in harmony with local deer. Our ultimate goal is to release these fawns back into the wild. We currently have an 80% success rate, far above the national average for wildlife rescue organizations.
