Since its founding in 2012, Kids Helping Kids Sacramento has always looked to make the most significant impact possible in the lives of children in need and the lives of the high school students who run our organization. We serve four populations, but recently we have been focusing on our Grant and Aid program due to a tragedy in our community.

Julian Montano, a four-year-old boy was the only surviving member of his family, he lost his five-year-old brother along with his parents and nine-year-old sister after a drunk driver sped down the wrong side of the interstate and slammed into the family's car. They were making their way to the Grand Canyon for Thanksgiving vacation. We are deeply involved with the school Thomas Kelly Elementary, where we have our protégé project, that both of his siblings went to. Julian Montano has suffered numerous injuries including a broken leg and fractures in his foot and ribs. Thankfully, Julian is expected to make a full recovery. Julian's uncle, Anthony Gonzalez, adopted him to give him the home that he had unfortunately lost.

Kids Helping Kids is creating a 529 college fund for young Julian. We ourselves have put in $10,000. We are hoping that we can bring our partners to potentially match our funds. The more community partners we can bring together, the greater impact we can make in Julians future path.  If you choose to donate, your donation will go directly to Julian and you as well will receive a tax write off.  The more community engagement we have the more we can help Julian.

Kids Helping Kids is an entirely student-run non-profit organization that works to aid children both locally and globally. We are empowered students making a difference from the classroom to the community by investing in the lives of children in need. We believe that learning is best by doing, and doing is best by serving others.

Kids Helping Kids Sacramento is seeking financial partners to help us ensure Julian Montano receives the education he deserves. We want to help make sure that there are no obstacles standing in his way.

In-kind donations are needed to support Julian. Any amount can make a difference in this young child's life.
