$25,000 Goal

Girl Scouts Heart of Central California (GSHCC) serves nearly 20,000 girl and adult members across 18 counties. GSHCC operates regional program centers in Sacramento and Modesto, including two girl-led, girl-built STEM Center + Makerspaces. At Girl Scouts, we believe that when girls succeed, so does society.

Empowered Girls Empower Everyone—and your gift today makes that possible.

Right now, a girl in our community is waiting for the chance to discover her confidence, her courage, and her voice. At Girl Scouts, we don’t shape girls into someone else—we create the space, support, and experiences that help them uncover the power already within them. And when girls are empowered, they don’t keep that power to themselves—they use it to uplift others, strengthen communities, and help change the world.

Thanks to generous supporters like you during Big Day of Giving 2025, thousands of girls are already on that journey. They’re learning to lead, to problem-solve, and to step up for the people and places they care about. But empowerment doesn’t happen in a single day, it takes consistent support, all year long. Your gift today keeps that momentum alive.

Girl Scouts Heart of Central California serves nearly 20,000 girls and adults across 18 counties, offering hands-on leadership experiences, outdoor adventure, and girl-led innovation through our STEM Center + Makerspaces in Sacramento and Modesto. These opportunities spark confidence and creativity—and they inspire girls to give back, take action, and make a real difference in their schools, neighborhoods, and beyond. But for many families, cost remains a barrier.

Last year alone, GSHCC provided over $160,000 in financial assistance to more than 6,000 girls, ensuring finances never stand in the way of belonging, leadership, or opportunity. Without donors like you, many girls would never get the chance to raise their hand, lead a team, serve their community, and believe in their own potential.

$25 – Empower Her Belonging
Could provide a uniform that welcomes one girl into Girl Scouting.

$65 – Spark Her Confidence
Could provide one year of growth, courage, and belonging for one girl.

$195 – Help Her Grow Strong
Could provide three years of leadership and self-belief for one girl.

$300 – Let Her Be Brave
Could provide confidence-building outdoor adventures for three girls.

$650 – Lift a Whole Troop
Could provide memberships for girls rising together.

$1,200 – Show Her the Power Within
Gives a future Girl Scout camp counselor the opportunity to build confidence, gain hands-on leadership experience, and take her first step toward becoming a camp role model.

When you give, you’re not just supporting a program—you’re investing in a girl who will use her confidence to help others, her voice to advocate for change, and her leadership to strengthen her community. When girls thrive, everyone benefits.

Give today. Empower a girl. Help change her world—and ours.

Mission

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Needs

Invest in the next generation of problem-solvers, go-getters, dreamers, and doers! From reaching the outer limits of space to stocking their local food pantry, there is no challenge too big or need too small for a Girl Scout to tackle.

Girl Scouts sets girls up with the skills they need to be successful in life. Whether it's through trying something new in a badge series, meeting an expert in an interesting field, or navigating friendships and teamwork, Girl Scouts develop skills like resiliency, compassion, and leadership.

Creating our future, one challenge at a time.

Girl Scouts Heart of Central of California is committed to making Girl Scouting available to girls who, without financial help, would not be able to participate. The inability to pay should never stand in the way of girl's hope and dreams. The support received from public contributions helps provide equal access to all girls to our programs and activities, such as camp, outdoor adventures, Under Construction, civic engagement, and STEM workshops.

Equity Statement

Girl Scouts Heart of Central California (GSHCC) values diversity, equity, and inclusion, both in concept and in practice. Across 18 counties, our girls, volunteers, alumnae, and staff comprise diverse communities and identities that encompass ability, ethnicity, gender identity, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.

We acknowledge the historical impacts of systemic racism and oppression that affect our Girl Scout family and society, which continue to have an impact today. GSHCC is wholly committed to building an anti-racist and anti-oppressive environment. It is a Girl Scout Movement-wide journey based on respect for one another. We find strength in the knowledge that we embark on this journey together.

At GSHCC, our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. We offer a diverse and inclusive array of programming and perspectives with the goal of ensuring all girls, volunteers, and staff have a safe space, where they can learn and grow and be their authentic selves.
