We have over two decades of experience working with at-risk youth between our network's various academies throughout California. As a result of this, we have countless success stories. We are seeking to create a truly viable economic structure for our Academy to assist those that can't afford or don't have access to a program like ours. We work with all ages and have a legitimate, evidence-based approach to self-defense and student development.

Mission

Granite Bay Jiu-Jitsu Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (83-3635273) that promotes martial arts training and yoga practice for health, fitness, and social reasons. We advocate for the mainstream use of martial arts training and yoga practice via Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and yoga classes. We advocate:

Bullyproofing the youth.

After school programs for low-income and at-risk youth.

Self-defense and empowerment for girls and women.

Injury-prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery for all ages.

Needs

We need $500 in donations to provide each scholarship recipient with 6 months of training and a proper uniform. The more funding we acquire, the more scholarships we can provide to the community. The funds we receive only go toward our scholarships.

We are always in need to better ways to automate our processes and this includes more effective ways of editing video and pushing that footage out to our students. Our technology needs are not overly complicated but funding to assist with our instructional content - from equipment to software, would be extremely helpful in expanding our reach.

We need volunteers for filming and editing content for our online portal.

Equity Statement

Any family that meets the income requirement (under $47,520/year) is welcome to apply. We grant scholarships on the basis of need and attempt to grant as many as possible.
