El Dorado Community Health Centers

At El Dorado Community Health Centers, we believe quality health care should be accessible, compassionate, and rooted in community.  As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we provide comprehensive medical, dental, behavioral, and specialty health services for patients of all ages, backgrounds, and income levels -- regardless of insurance status or inability to pay.  Our integrated care teams work together under one roof to ensure each patient receives personalized attention and whole-person care.

Whether you're here for a routine checkup, help managing chronic conditions, dental care, an eye exam, or assistance navigating life's challenges, EDCHC is your trusted partner in health. With multiple locations across the county, same-day appointments, and on-site pharmacy and lab services, we make it easy to get the care you need, when you need it -- all with dignity, respect, and heart.

We operate health centers in Placerville, Cameron Park, and South Lake Tahoe, in addition to deploying our Mobile Medical and Dental Clinics throughout the County, to ensure that all local residents have access to quality, compassionate health services.

Giving Activity

Mission

Our mission is to improve the health of our community through quality healing and preventive services.

Needs

Over the last 20 years, El Dorado Community Health Center has made great strides in establishing access to preventative healthcare to our vulnerable population in the county. The center currently serves nearly 12,000 patients each year for nearly 85,000 visits with clinicians, including individuals with private insurance, Medicare, and Medi-Cal, as well as those who are without insurance.

Nevertheless, there are still more than 20,000 other low-income individuals in the community that are not accessing critical health services, like Primary Care, Dental, Behavioral Health, or Eye Care.

Your generous donations will help us to continue to expand our reach to provide more care to more people, and improve the lives and culture of El Dorado County.

Equity Statement

At EDCHC, we pride ourselves on taking care of a diverse community, as well as training and hiring from this same community. Many of our nearly 200 staff are bi-lingual, and all are trained to be respectful, inclusive, and compassionate with everyone who walks through our doors.

Regardless of your race, ethnicity, gender, politics, or religion, you will feel at home when you trust us with your healthcare needs.
