Needs
DST West Sacramento is seeking to enhance and elevate our employment services and workshop curriculum, as well as our scope of clean up in the community. We believe that the first step back into employment is building a sense of dignity and confidence through activities such as literacy courses, GED prep classes, women's empowerment workshops, etc.
As more individuals graduate and move on from DST we recognize the imperative need to reduce recidivism. Keeping individuals engaged in mentorship roles and providing access to continued "light touch" case management is necessary for long term success for many of our Team Members. We are seeking $5,000 in unrestricted funding to implement our Alumni Next Moves program.
Unrestricted funding allows us to provide our Team Members with funds they need to overcome barriers that are keeping them from self sufficiency. Unrestricted funds can become Case Management Resource funds to assist in paying for minor DMV fees, application fees, employment readiness related expenses, etc. We are seeking to raise $5,000 in unrestricted Case Management Resource funds.
