College Track

A nonprofit organization

At College Track, we believe the future starts now. Our 10-year college completion program partners with first-generation scholars from under-resourced communities, equipping them to earn a bachelor’s degree and build lives filled with opportunity, choice, purpose, and power.

Today, more than 6,600 high school and college scholars and alumni across California, Colorado, Louisiana, and the D.C.–Maryland area are pursuing their goal of becoming the first in their family to graduate from college.

In Sacramento alone, nearly 160 high school and college students are working towards the ultimate goal of a bachelor’s degree, which College Track scholars earn at over three times the rate of their first-generation peers. Sacramento’s growing alumni community is almost 50 strong, building successful careers and lighting the way for their families and communities.

Mission

College Track equips first-generation students to earn a bachelor’s degree in pursuit of a life of opportunity, choice, purpose, and power. Scholars leverage our 10-year integrated program to overcome challenges, become the first in their families to earn a bachelor’s degree, and use that degree as a springboard into meaningful careers.

Needs

As national research continually demonstrates, a bachelor’s degree is the most direct pathway to economic mobility, civic engagement, and lifelong wellness. As the education and career landscapes rapidly shift, first-generation, under-resourced scholars face mounting obstacles in accessing college, obtaining a four-year degree, and achieving upward social mobility. Our program equips scholars to meet the current moment and persist through the academic, personal, and professional challenges that stand between them and careers of purpose. These scholars return home as leaders and innovators, inspiring families, communities, and professional spaces for generations to come.
