At College Track, we believe the future starts now, and we are working hard to realize our vision for a better world. Our comprehensive 10-year college completion program equips first-generation scholars confronting systemic barriers to earn a bachelor’s degree and pursue lives of opportunity, choice, purpose, and power.
Today, College Track serves over 4,000 scholars across 12 communities in California, Colorado, Louisiana, and the D.C. Metro Area, with nearly 1,400 alumni leading a movement to democratize opportunity. In Sacramento alone, nearly 350 high school and college students are working towards the ultimate goal of a bachelor’s degree, which College Track scholars earn at over three times the rate of their first-generation peers. Sacramento’s growing alumni community is almost 40 strong, building successful careers and lighting the way for their families and communities.

As national research continually demonstrates, a bachelor’s degree is the most direct pathway to economic mobility, civic engagement, and lifelong wellness. Despite the promise of higher education, there exists an unequal playing field in college access and graduation rates. The most recent US Census data reveals deep racial disparities in educational outcomes in Sacramento: 50% of White residents hold bachelor’s degrees, while just 24% of Black and 25% of Latinx residents do.
