The Chamber Music Society was founded thirty-five years ago by professional musicians of the Sacramento Symphony who felt a need for small musical ensemble experience.
The Society produces a series of seven chamber music concerts per year, each performed once in Sacramento and once in Davis, before an audience of 100-300 persons. It also performs outreach concerts at area schools, churches, and senior citizen groups. It conducts a week-long student workshop once per year.
The Chamber Music Society of Sacramento (CMSS) was founded to provide high quality chamber music to audiences in Sacramento and Davis, as well as providing learning opportunities for the next generation of classical musicians and concertgoers.
