The Boys & Girls Club of Placer County was established in 1994 in response to a growing need for safe, supportive, and enriching environments for local youth. What began as a single Club location has grown into a network of four sites serving children and teens throughout the county.

Today, the Club provides a critical out-of-school-time resource for families, offering evidence-based programs focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character and leadership development. Our impact is reflected not only in the increasing number of youth we serve, but also in their continued growth, achievement, and connection to caring adult mentors. By prioritizing those who need us most, the Boys & Girls Club of Placer County helps ensure every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Giving Activity

Mission

To inspire and empower all young people who pass through our doors to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Needs

$75,000 – Scholarships for Youth and Families

In keeping with our belief that no child should be turned away due to financial hardship, the Boys & Girls Club of Placer County provides scholarships to families in need each year. These scholarships ensure equitable access to high-quality out-of-school programming for youth who rely on the Club for academic support, enrichment, and a safe place to belong. Last year alone, the Club awarded more than $70,000 in scholarships, and demand continues to grow as economic pressures on families increase.

$50,000 – Roseville Club Programming and Technology

In the summer of 2022, the Boys & Girls Club of Placer County opened a new Club location in Roseville to meet the growing demand for youth services in the greater Roseville area. Funding is needed to support core programming and to purchase essential technology equipment, including computers, printers, and related supplies. These tools are critical to helping members complete homework, access digital learning platforms, and fully participate in academic success programs.

$7,500 – Chromebook Lab at the Mullin & McAdams Clubhouse

The Mullin & McAdams Clubhouse is seeking funding to establish a new Google Chromebook Lab consisting of 20 affordably priced Chromebooks. This lab will provide members with reliable access to technology needed for homework completion, virtual learning, and participation in the Club’s educational and enrichment programs throughout the year.
