• Facilitates reduction of stigma and promotes community expectation of positive outcomes
How Women of Color On The Move Focus on Community Support?
We have expanded this year too (3) programs and services in Sacramento, CA. Substance Abuse Program, financial management, and workforce development.
Women Of Color On The Move recognizes respect, responsibility, honesty, and fairness, and loves new challenges and opportunities to maximize the benefits within the community. Each person's hands we touch with hope through our sources of guidance is timeless and seldom changes in our community. Our program facilitates the successful reintegration of individuals back into their communities equipped with the tools to be drug-free, and healthy, by raising awareness through community outreach and education in a safe environment.
Our program focus on a specific integrated model of treatment for people affected by drug use and dependence in the community which provides a continuum of care from outreach and low threshold services, through detoxification and stabilization to aftercare and integration, including maintenance pharmacotherapy. It involves the coordination of health, social, and other non-specialist services needed to meet the patient's needs. Strong support is also given to the patient's family and the community to address the drug and alcohol problems in their complexity and to ensure efficient and long-term results.
