Wiltown Riders is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve Black cowboy history by educating the youth beyond the classroom. Our program provides training by teaching youth how to horseback ride,nurture farm animals such as chickens and goats and gain knowledge of the Black cowboy heritage. As a proud partner of the Northern California Black Horseman’s Association, Wiltown Riders’ welcome all people to experience life outside of the city and learn about a rich history they can apply throughout life.

Mission

The Wiltown Riders mission is to bring inner city kids to the country. A free place for children to discover and create awareness. We do this through education, therapy and life skills.

Needs

Donations will be used to feed the growing animal count from horses ,chickens and goats. Also to purchase food items after a horse lesson the children look forward to a popsicle. Once a month is appreciation day with hot dogs and hamburgers to end the day on a positive note.

Hay- $6000.00 year Popsicles-$20.00, $400.00 a month for food for appreciation day.

A rod iron fence is needed for safety reasons for the 40x20 pond that is stocked with fish. $8100.00

Four tier metal bleachers is needed for parents to watch their children grow in the hands of Wiltown Rider members/volunteer. Also for children patiently waiting on the bleachers for their turn in the arena.--$1550.00

Roping dummies and ropes to teach the students how to rope . First on the ground with a stationary dummy calf then to a moving calf behind the quad to stimulate the real movement of roping on a horse. Another activity to benefit the students minds to achieve more confidence and grow $2850.00

In order to keep the sandy arena level and groomed properly for the horses an attachment to the quad is necessary for safety for the horse and rider - Grooming attachment $5008.00

Solar lighting project to allow the students to ride in the summer after dark and in the winter to ride after the short days . Six poles with six parking lot solar lights cemented in the ground —$4680.00

20ft steel cargo container: to hold all supplies and equipment safe and dry. $3500.00
