The Willie W. Anderson (WWA) Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes educational advancement, entrepreneurship and business ownership for communities of color. More specifically, the Foundation provides educational scholarships and business grants to individuals in the greater Sacramento area to reduce the educational and economic disparities in communities of color - with a main focus of addressing these gaps in the African American community.
The WWA Foundation was established in 2020 to honor the legacy of Willie Wee Anderson. Willie was a leader and staunch advocate for creating equality and opportunities for underrepresented and unheard voices. He had an untiring commitment to fight against racism and towards the advancement of the African American community. He encouraged and instilled education and entrepreneurship into numerous individuals, as he believed these were the pillars for building generational wealth. Before his passing in 2002, he served honorably for over 20 years in the United States Air Force, organized numerous community advocacy events and gave speeches to improve civil rights in the United States.
With Willie W. Anderson's inspiration and example as its guiding star, the WWA Foundation is helping individuals achieve their dreams. Since 2021, the WWA Foundation has provided approximately 40 students and entrepreneurs with scholarships and grants.
