WCYSI started out like other non-profits. A need was identified and there was a plan to fill that need. A group of competent, forward looking and credible people were chosen to help shepherd this non-profit to the next level. Youth sports was the passion and youth basketball was the first vehicle chosen. The basic foundation of WCYSI started out with the legal entity being formed, the board of directors being chosen, the mission, values and goals memorialized, soliciting sponsors and putting boots on the ground in recruiting credible, ethical and morally sound individuals. West Coast Basketball Association (WCBA) was the direct result of this vision and have grown each season since inception. The WCBA is a co-ed recreational basketall league serving children from 3rd grade - 12th grade. In only two seasons, it grew from 200 kids to 400 kids pre-pandemic. This shows how the values and mission of WCYSI was making such a positive impact for the community as we've had nothing but glowing reviews and filling such a desparate need for families.
West Coast Youth Sports (WCYSI) is a nonprofit providing our youth and communities with opportunities to inspire teamwork, promote community engagement and to instill positive life lessons gained through sports.

Additional funding for operating expenses, insurance, scholarships and awards to top student athletes.
Additional volunteers to help on game days and other community events.
