$20,000 Goal

Shannon Personeni, the founder of our organization, had a childhood dream of healing people through adaptive riding. Her dream became a reality with the establishment of T.R.O.T.R. in 2005, which is located in the beautiful, historic city of Woodland, CA. T.R.O.T.R. is a nonprofit, 100% volunteer-based organization specializing in therapeutic riding and off-track rehabilitation.

Our primary focus is to provide a healing place for both animals and people through our various programs, adaptive riding, hippotherapy, and off-track rescue. We believe that everyone deserves a chance and an opportunity to be successful.

Our dedicated volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. Despite the challenges from this past year, we have been able to thrive and grow because of the generosity of our community.

We rely on our community's financial support. Your gift to T.R.O.T.R. acknowledges your commitment to helping us move forward and empowers us to provide that life-shaping experience to as many people as possible.

Giving Activity

Mission

At T.R.O.T.R, we are dedicated to providing adaptive riding lessons that uniquely fit the needs of our diverse students. We are also committed to helping our equine friends. Our goal is to rehabilitate these horses, both physically and mentally by providing food, shelter, veterinary care, and, if, possible, training them to be therapy horses in our program.

We also participate in school and community outreach programs. We are always improving our programs and facilities thanks to donations of time, money, and resources from people like you.

Needs

We have horses that need extra veterinary care, and your help could mean the difference between a horse being rideable or simply being a pasture companion horse.

We need hay and feed for our therapy and rescue horses. You can consider becoming a sponsor for one of T.R.O.T.R.’s horses to provide one month's feed for one horse.

Many of our therapy student’s families are burdened with unimaginable medical bills. Typically, adaptive riding is not covered under medical insurance, and therefore the therapy, which often is extremely instrumental to their well-being, is a financial stretch for several of our families.

You can help them lower their burden and help a child to continue his/her therapy by sponsoring a lesson.

We need lots of horse and therapy supplies to run our program such as horse brushes - all kinds, saddles - English or western, bridles - all kinds, halters - all colors or size, 3M vetrap, fly masks, fly spray, riding helmets - all sizes, horse feed/grain, PVC pipes - all sizes, large pieces of plywood to create storefronts for our sensory trail.

Equity Statement

TROTR centers equity as one of its organizational values. Equity to us means that all people — regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, zip code, health and ability status, or any other consideration — have equal and inviolable dignity, value, and opportunity to participate justly, fairly, and fully.
