Help support the Sacramento RISE Program that offers physically distanced in-person golf training to connect young people in Sacramento with trusted adult coaches and opportunities to learn new skills. This program seeks to prevent and interrupt violence by providing an opportunity for young people to engage in intercommunity.
We break down barriers that keep kids and families from feeling like they belong - no matter what walk of life. We aim to develop a deep understanding of the audiences we serve, and reflect this in everything we create.
Sponsor a program: First Tee - Greater Sacramento has over 15 programs, here are a few: Anyone Can Play Program which includes California Eagles, Young People & Adults with Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, & other disabilities.
We see golf as a unique metaphor for life - full of unexpected challenges, where progress is a practice of self-reliance, and how you choose to respond defines who you are. We are leveraging this asba powerful vehicle, but do not define our success by how well kids play the game.
Golferships assist those individuals and families who, for a variety of reasons, are not able to afford registration. ($420 per student, 50 kids per year). Kids become a better version of themselves when they have the space to be who they are, surrounded by passionate people who guide them to see what they are capable of.
Do you have a passion for impact? First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do.
We need volunteers who are passionate about helping young people succeed. By contributing your time and talent, you can directly help further our mission.
