Needs
StartupSac is entering an important phase of growth.
In 2026, we are expanding our work to serve young adults ages 18–24 through a new Youth Workforce & Economic Pathways initiative. Many of these young people are working in low-wage jobs without advancement or are not enrolled in college and lack access to professional networks and structured career guidance.
We are building a practical, hands-on pathway that combines entrepreneurship education, workforce readiness, financial literacy, and direct mentorship from local business leaders. Participants will gain real skills, real connections, and real next steps.
We have secured initial support from Golden 1 Credit Union and have additional public funding proposals under review. However, grant funding does not cover the full cost of outreach, program coordination, mentorship engagement, evaluation, and long-term sustainability.
Unrestricted community support allows us to:
Keep programs accessible regardless of income
Provide hands-on instruction and mentorship
Strengthen partnerships across Sacramento’s business community
Sustain high-quality programming and accountability
This Big Day of Giving, we are raising $12,000 to support StartupSac’s general operations and program delivery.
Your gift helps build clear pathways to economic mobility—right here in the Sacramento region.
