Soroptimist Intl. of Folsom/El Dorado Hills is a non-profit volunteer organization with the goal of improving the lives of women and girls in our local communities. We provide services and funding for disadvantaged young women facing extreme obstacles to leading successful, productive lives. Many are in the foster system, homeless, or come from families with substance abuse problems.
Donations allow us to continue making positive impacts in our community with these programs:
*. ”LIVE YOUR DREAM” provides heads of households who have overcome major challenges in their lives with the financial resources they need to improve their education, gain skills leading to better employment prospects. Most of our beneficiaries complete academic training to secure a promising career so they can support their families.
*. “DREAM IT, BE IT” provides career education and support to girls in secondary school who face obstacles to their future success. These programs help them explore career paths, set goals and pursue their dreams.
*. “STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING” raises awareness and assists girls AND boys. This unthinkable crime does, in fact, happen here.
