CAMP SMORE SHE IS MORE!

SistaBees is a community organization dedicated to supporting and uplifting girls, women and femmes of color ages 5-24 across Sacramento county. We provide school and community based sponsored programs and events dedicated to centering girls, women and femmes of color to hold space to learn, connect, share and LEAD! SistaBees is growing! We have been working hard to expand across Sacramento to build strong community partnerships, support local sistas and spread the word about our programs. Currently, we work in partnership with the Sierra Health Foundation Elevate Youth California, Sacramento City Unified School, Natomas Charter School and City of Sacramento.

Our impact is centered on empowering our sistas’ stories and voices by creating safe youth-led spaces, programs, and leadership opportunities. Our programs are designed to uplift, educate, and inspire youth through programs, leadership development, mentorship, healing circles, and experiential learning opportunities across Sacramento.

We are committed to TAKING UP SPACE FOR BLACK, LATINX, NATIVE, ASIAN AMERICAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER GIRLS, WOMEN AND FEMMES, PERIODT! Our program offerings are FREE including our annual Spring and Summer weekend leadership and youth wellness retreats, events, and field trips.

 Our Youth programs include:

· Leadership Development and Community Service – Equipping youth with the skills and opportunities to lead in their schools, communities, and future careers

· Mentorship & Support Networks – Connecting participants with youth and adult mentors who provide guidance, support and sisterhood

· Mental Health & Wellness Initiatives – Creating safe spaces for healing-centered engagement and culturally responsive support

Camp S’MORE is TAKING UP SPACE for women and femmes across Sacramento! The S’MORE in Camp S’MORE tells the message to our program sistas that She is More Than Enough, more than a Stereotype or a Statistic. Our weekend youth camp retreat is designed to cultivate a safe, empowering and healing space for our sistas to explore storytelling and discover their own special leadership styles, learn how to advocate for their mental health, participate in healing practices and celebrate the power and magic of sisterhood.

Your amazing support allows us to remove financial barriers for our youth who need these spaces the most and make this life changing experience possible! Together, we can create opportunties for our sistas to TAKE UP SPACE, HEAL AND LEAD!

Thank you so much for your kindness and making SistaBees possible to TAKE UP SPACE for our sistas across Sacramento!
