Seniors Have Wishes Too
Silver Wishes was created to remind seniors in our community that they matter, they are valued, and they still have purpose. Inspired by the Make-A-Wish model, we grant one-time wishes to seniors age 65+ who are facing illness, isolation, financial hardship, or lifeβs unexpected challenges.
A wish might be something practicalβhelp regaining independence, easing a daily burden, or meeting a basic need.
A wish might reunite family members who have been separated.
A wish might bring joy through a long-held bucket list dream or a meaningful experience.
No matter the form it takes, every wish carries the same message: you are seen, you are important, and you are not forgotten.
Why Your Gift Matters
When you give to Silver Wishes, you are helping restore hope and dignity at a time when many seniors feel invisible. You are creating moments of connection, joy, and relief that can change a seniorβs outlook on life.
And just as importantly, our donors, volunteers, and community partners often tell us that they experience something powerful tooβthe joy that comes from being part of a mission rooted in kindness and compassion.
Together, we are creating a ripple effect of hope.
Introducing the Dandelion Legacy Giving Circle
This year, we invite our most committed supporters to deepen their impact by joining the Dandelion Legacy Giving Circleβan exclusive group of donors who help ensure wishes can continue to bloom all year long.
Members commit to:
A minimum one-time annual gift of $1,000, or
Recurring monthly or quarterly donations totaling at least $1,000 annually
As a member of the Dandelion Legacy Giving Circle, youβll receive:
An invitation to an annual Dandelion Legacy appreciation gathering
Private wish impact updates, sharing the stories your generosity helps make possible
Like a dandelion releasing its seeds, your generosity spreads far beyond a single momentβcreating a lasting ripple effect of kindness throughout our community.
Every Gift Plants a Seed
No matter how big or how small your gift may be, you are planting a seed that helps make a wish come true. Thank you for believing in the power of kindness and for letting seniors know they are seen, valued, and rememberedβbecause seniors have wishes too.
