                                                                                  Our Story

For over 20 years, SGLHCC has been a pillar of hope and support in the community, faithfully serving children and families. Founded by Deborah Stanley in honor of her beloved daughters, Na’Imah Nijeerah Stanley and Le’Anna Kristina Stanley, the center was created to turn personal tragedy into a mission of love and restoration. Inspired by Romans 8:28 (“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God…”), Deborah established SGLHCC to reflect God’s grace and provide opportunities for children to overcome challenges and thrive.

                                                                     Our Programs and Services

We believe every child is uniquely gifted by God. SGLHCC offers programs that nurture their gifts and equip them for success:

• Dance Program: A joyful expression of creativity inspired by Psalm 150:4: “Praise Him with tambourine and dancing!”

• Multicultural Sistaz Club: Encouraging unity and cultural appreciation through God’s vision of love for all nations (Revelation 7:9).

• Arts and Crafts: Activities like “Paint Like a Butterfly,” reflecting God’s creativity as the ultimate Creator.

• Community Gardening: Teaching children to grow their own food while embracing Genesis 1:29: “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth…”

• Life Skills Workshops: Empowering children with practical skills, such as braiding and creating blankets from yarn with just your fingers, guided by Proverbs 31:17: “She sets about her work vigorously…”

• Seasonal Giving: Annual Christmas stocking and toy giveaways, fulfilling God’s call to generosity in Acts 20:35.

• Youth Entrepreneurship: Encouraging children to use their talents to create products like bracelets and T-shirts, inspired by Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”

Our Impact

Through God’s grace and over two decades of service, SGLHCC has touched countless lives. By integrating education, health, and cultural awareness with biblical principles, we inspire children to grow into confident, compassionate individuals who can make a difference in their communities (Matthew 5:16).

 Why You’re Support Matters

1. Expand our programs to serve more children and families.

2. Enhance workshops and initiatives that teach valuable life skills.

3. Build a permanent facility to house our Christ-centered programs and community events.

Your contribution is not just a gift—it is a seed sown into the future of our children, their families, and our community. Together, we can build a foundation of faith and opportunity that lasts for generations.
