Sensory Friendly Dance (SFD) invites everyone, especially Sacramento's neurodiverse community, to experience the power of dance! SFD offers neurodivergent individuals a space to express themselves in judgement-free dance classes, benefit from the physicality of dance, and socialize in a nurturing and sensory sensitive classroom environment. Similarly, SFD’s performances open their doors to everyone in the community by relaxing traditional theater rules, cultivating an accepting environment, and by providing an inclusive space for neurodiverse and neurotypical individuals to engage in the performing arts together.

Sensory Friendly Dance's mission is to provide accessible dance classes and performances designed for neurodiverse and neurotypical individuals to enjoy together in an inclusive, welcoming, and accepting environment.

Your donation will support Sensory Friendly Dance 2022 performance and our summer dance classes. With your help, we will be able to offer three weeks of summer dance classes and our annual family friendly performance designed for neurodiverse and neurotypical individuals to enjoy together. Additionally, thanks to a $5,000 matching donation from Conquer and Omar Haq, your donation will be doubled!

Your contribution supports our programming costs so that we can offer our community free and low-cost tickets to our performances and dance classes. Since SFD's founding in 2017, we have annually donated 100 free tickets to our performances for families with a financial need, as well as kept general admission ticket prices to our performances and dance classes just $5 per person. SFD believes that the arts are for everyone and thanks to your support on Big Day of Giving, we are able to transform that belief into action.
