$10,000 Goal

From January to September, The SAWS Foundation provides support to low-income communities through the "Family X Project" in three ways. We build customized school supply kits for students classified as homeless or socioeconomically disadvantaged. We provide guidance and financial support to parents/guardians of homeless youth that are seeking to continue their education. And finally, we provide incentives and support to families to encourage community involvement at school sites.

During October-December, The SAWS Foundation shifts gears and moves into our Holiday Program. We provide gifts to students in Title 1 classrooms by connecting students and donors through letter writing. We also provide "family baskets" for families in more serious need. Family baskets include gifts for all family members as well as gas/grocery gift cards.

Mission

The SAWS Foundation strives to provide students and families classified as socioeconomically disadvantaged with vital resources, supports, and guidance in order to boost and ensure student success both academically and in life.
