The Sacramento House Rabbit Society is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and finding loving homes for abandoned and unwanted rabbits. SHRS is committed to educating people about the unique nature and proper care of these wonderful, intelligent companion animals. We enrich both people's and rabbits' lives by introducing them to each other & coaching both to happily coexist.
When you donate to SHRS, over 90% of your donation goes to help offset veterinary care for the rabbits we rescue.

Currently, we are looking for volunteers for the following tasks and positions:
• Fostering
• Coordinating with local shelters
• Volunteer recruitment and coordination
• Social media
• Assistance at adoptions days with set-up/take down, grooming (2nd Saturdays, 10am-3pm)
• Fundraising
• On-call transportation assistance, particularly taking rabbits to and from the vet, adoption day, shelters, foster homes/sanctuaries
