Entrepreneurial Business Boot Camp for Aspiring and Early-Stage Entrepreneurs

For over 40 years, the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy (SEA) has been Northern California’s longest running, most impactful entrepreneurship training program—launching founders whose companies have  collectively generated over $10 billion in revenue.

SEA is a comprehensive, team-based bootcamp designed for aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs. Our  program combines small group, project-based learning with interactive workshops to deliver both breadth  and depth of entrepreneurial training. Each fellow not only works on their own business idea but also  critiques, supports, and learns from teammates’ ventures—maximizing growth through shared  experience.

What Sets SEA Apart

• Intimate, in-person environment for maximum interaction, skill-building, and personal mentorship.

• Team-based learning where fellows collaborate, challenge, and support one another.

• Robust alumni network of 800+ graduates, including CEOs, investors, and industry leaders.

• Dedicated mentors who guide your team from day one to final pitch

• Evergreen access to subject matter experts, alumni, and resources long after graduation.

• Direct access to the SEA network: CEOs, entrepreneurs, and investors who can open doors.

• Subject Matter Experts to help guide every phase of business plan development.

• Low-risk entry into entrepreneurship, providing the skills, connections, and confidence to launch  successfully.

The Experience

Starting January 2027 with a cohort social, fellows meet the SEA Board, exchange ideas, and form teams.  From January through  May, sessions are held Saturday mornings at Sacramento State. Together, teams take  ideas from market analysis through marketing, financial planning, and funding strategy. Supported by  mentors who stay with them the entire journey, teams produce polished business and financial plans and  present them at the final pitch session.

The Showcase

In May, teams present at SEA’s Annual Showcase at Elks Tower—a premier networking event  connecting founders to Sacramento’s business, investment, and innovation community. Awards honor the  best overall plan, pitch, and teamwork.
