At the San Juan Education Foundation, we believe that when educators are empowered, students excel. Through the power of philanthropy and partnership, we provide the critical funding needed to propel student achievement, enrich classrooms, and inspire future leaders.
Since our founding in 1991, we have been committed to ensuring that funding is never a barrier to opportunity. Through Direct-to-Educator Grants and a diverse scholarship portfolio, we invest in innovative projects that spark creativity, enhance learning, and open doors for every student in San Juan Unified.
📍 Serving the vibrant communities of Arden-Arcade, Carmichael, Orangevale, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, and parts of Rancho Cordova and Sacramento, we are proud to partner with local schools while remaining an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

🎶 Music & the Arts – From Mr. Langston’s Piano Lab to ukuleles for Lichen and Deterding students, theater productions like Seussical and Moana, and even sound systems and cameras for enhanced performances.
📚 Literacy & Language – Thousands of books in English, Spanish, and Dari. Mental health and wellness stories. Narratives with diverse characters to reflect our student body.
🔬 STEM & Innovation – Microscopes for science classes. Technology like iPads and headphones to enhance learning.
🚌 Hands-On Learning & Exploration – Field trips to Sutter’s Fort, Marshall Gold Discovery Park, the Museum of Science and Curiosity, and more.
🌱 Outdoor & Wellness Initiatives – School gardens for young green thumbs. A new disc golf course and DIY weightlifting bars for PE programs.
🤟 Inclusion & Accessibility – Transforming audiobooks into ASL format for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program at Will Rogers.
