Support our Latest Effort to Nourish Both Body and Soul at Ronald McDonald House!

Caring for families throughout their child's healthcare journey extends far beyond providing a place to stay. It also means providing wrap-around services, including nutritious meals to soothe mind, body, and soul. Our Meals from the Heart program makes this possible for families.

Our 365-days-a-year continental breakfast means families don't need to leave for the hospital in the morning without a hot drink or a bite to eat. Our dedicated volunteers add to that, bringing groceries and cooking meals onsite to serve families throughout the week. Last year, we served 13,323 meals, and the need continues to grow. This Big Day of Giving, we need your help building something that will allow us to serve even more.

On April 6th, we broke ground on a brand-new commercial kitchen, and construction is moving fast! Upon completion later this year, volunteer groups will have commercial-grade equipment, dedicated prep space, and a setup built for cooking at a larger scale. With more space and the right tools, we can schedule more volunteer groups, serve more meals, and make sure more families walk through our doors to find dinner already taken care of. Your generosity today can help us make that possible, and we'll be offering tours to check out the construction site soon!

“The meals prepared by volunteers nourished our souls in the way only food prepared with love can.” - Grateful Family

Mission

Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and their families by supporting the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House and Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake.

The Sacramento Ronald McDonald House provides children and families with a calm, warm space where they can find rest and mutual support. This home-away-from-home provides shelter and comfort to families who need to travel to the Sacramento area in order to receive medical treatment for their child.

Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake provides participants who are at risk, disadvantaged, and/or living with physical, developmental, and/or emotional disabilities with confidence-building experiences. The Camp’s accessible site removes all physical barriers and the program promotes individuality and self-esteem through the challenges of outdoor group living and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Equity Statement

We believe it is the diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences that each member of our global organization brings to the table everyday that allow us to provide the care and support that children and their families need. We know we are stronger together because of our diversity. We will never waver in our commitment to this core value.
