Rogue Music Project is a theatrical experience.

Rogue Music Project is more than just a band or an opera company, it's a theatrical experience. On one hand we perform mash up cabarets that feature some of the finest musical talent in Sacramento. On the other hand, we are producing transformational operatic experiences designed to breathe new life into the genre by commissioning new works and resurrecting lesser known works all while collaborating with local artists. We are also generating conversation around topics relevant to our society today. Our current project 10-Op is the embodiment of that work.

10-Op is a bold reimagining of operaβ€”ten operas, each just ten minutes long, performed in unexpected spaces throughout the community. Featuring five original compositions from new voices alongside five reimagined existing works, this series breaks opera free from tradition, showcasing diverse creatives and fresh perspectives in an innovative, accessible format.

Previous 10-Op Productions include:

May, 2025: Greed by Jonathan Dove

January, 2026: The Leader by Shuying Li

We celebrate the arts as a vital means of communication, exploration, and connection, and we are deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable creative community where diversity is not only acknowledged but cherished.

The arts have the unique ability to reflect the breadth of human experience and to challenge historical and systemic inequities. At Rogue Arts and Media, we affirm the dignity inherent in all individuals and recognize the importance of cultivating a climate of equality and justice. We are committed to amplifying voices that have been historically marginalized and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to create, share, and be represented in the artistic landscape.

Our work is guided by the belief that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are essential to the vibrancy of the arts. We confront and reject all manifestations of discrimination -- whether based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, socioeconomic status, nationality, religious, or political beliefs, or any other dimension of difference. These differences enhance our shared creative journey, and we are dedicated to fostering a space where all voices are heard, respected, and celebrated.

At Rogue Arts and Media, we recognize that creativity thrives in a culture of mutual respect and care. Together we strive to build an artistic community that values collaboration, understanding, and the boundless potential of human expression.
