Who We Are:

At Robert Craig Films Foundation we believe that film puts a face to society's greatest issues and opens doors for tangible change. We focus our lens on different causes to spark empathy and compassion in our communities. We utilize film as a tool to educate, motivating action that spreads to impact greater positive change in our world.

Currently, through the films No Address, the movie, and Americans With No Address, the documentary, we are partnering with Robert Craig Films to focus on the critical need to reduce homelessness in America. Between 2022 and 2023, street-level homelessness increased by 12% nationally, if this rate continues, street-level homelessness will double in 5-6 years. In Sacramento County, we saw an even bigger increase. Between 2020 and 2022 there was a massive 67% rise in homelessness! Recently Sacramento County reported third in the entire nation for chronic homeless population. Homelessness is not just an urban issue either; it is on the rise in both suburban and rural areas as well.

Homelessness is a humanitarian crisis, and your support today can make a tremendous impact on hundreds and even thousands of lives locally and nationwide. Not since the Great Depression have so many families been homeless. There are currently 1.5 million children and 1.2 million adults experiencing homelessness in our country. With your support, we can start reducing homelessness right here in the Greater Sacramento area and "Break the No Address Cycle."

Giving Activity

Mission

Through the lens of cinema, we spotlight critical needs within society to educate our communities, create awareness, and inspire empathy to drive positive change.

Needs

We are raising funds to begin work on a future educational film, or docuseries, that will share untold heartfelt stories of individuals experiencing homelessness. This film will engage our viewer's hearts and minds by showcasing that homelessness can happen to anyone. We will explore the root causes of homelessness, including but not limited to mental health, addiction, and the rise in homelessness among youth and families.

We are also currently seeking funding for our 2024/2025 school year educational film screenings and panel discussions with regional experts to be held at local colleges and universities that will address the homelessness crisis. This program will engage our youth and result in a new generation of solutions-oriented leaders who come from a place of empathy and understanding.
