Equity Statement

Equity Statement for the RCSA Flag Football Program

At the Refugees Community Services Association (RCSA), we believe that sports, like flag football, can unite, empower, and inspire. Our unique flag football program is committed to building a community where every participant, regardless of background, language, or circumstance, has access to play, grow, and connect. We foster an inclusive, equitable environment that respects and celebrates the unique journeys and cultures of our refugee and immigrant players and their families.

Recognizing the barriers that systemic inequities often create, we strive to break them down through intentional actions, advocacy, and teamwork. Our program ensures that every player feels valued, heard, and supported. We emphasize creating a safe, welcoming space on and off the field where everyone can learn, participate, and enjoy the game.

Through flag football, we unite diverse communities, promote respect and teamwork, and address the specific needs of refugee and immigrant youth and families. We are dedicated to removing obstacles to participation, building confidence, and fostering a future where all can thrive with dignity, joy, and a sense of belonging.

RCSA is committed to transparency, reflection, and accountability in every aspect of our work, continuously learning and adapting to support our communities better. We celebrate diversity, embrace inclusivity, and champion equity as the foundation of a stronger, more compassionate society for all. This commitment to inclusivity and equity is at the heart of everything we do.
