$7,500 Goal

Our Father’s House Outreach, neither a sanctuary nor a food bank, was established December 5, 2024. However, our journey began in 2015! Our team leaders, combined, have over 20 years of experience working with people living in poverty and the unhoused, mentoring disadvantaged youth and students with learning disabilities or have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Advocating for in-need seniors, veterans, the Spanish speaking and disabled persons needing our assistance.

We collaborate and partner with other non-profits, churches and private organizations. We have worked with hundreds of families and individuals in Sacramento County to provide for those who are vulnerable, experiencing food insecurities or in-need of a hand-up. Weekly we serve 250-350 meals to unhoused in Sacramento. Bi-weekly we serve 35 meals to the Elk Grove shelter guests and also share the meal with the guests, offering fellowship and encouragement – spiritual and grief support.

We also assist those in transitional housing in Elk Grove with minor auto repairs, obtaining parts at a reduced cost and enabling individuals to be able to afford the repairs. We also provide assistance with the repairs so those we help are able to attain working transportation.

Mission

Our mission is to alleviate hunger to those experiencing homelessness or are in-need within our community facing food insecurity, by distributing food and meals. Relieve personal suffering by providing basic human essentials including clothing, and personal care supplies and, assist those transitioning from homelessness into housing. Giving hope to the hopeless by providing fellowship and resources to better their situation and encouragement to promote self-sufficiency.

Equity Statement

The strength of Our Father’s House Outreach (OFHO) comes from our diversity and backgrounds. Each board member and our volunteers are concerned about the needs of the unhoused and indigent poor, each possessing visible and invisible qualities, making us unique and able to best serve those in-need in our communities. Our fundamental belief is that all people deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of race, gender, age, sexuality, ability, religion, national origin, gender identity, and other identities.

OFHO is committed to being a nondiscriminatory non-profit organization providing a hand-up to those experiencing not only food insecurities but, the need of basic personal care essentials (such as clothing, bedding, school supplies, etc.). Whether physical or spiritual hunger, we advocate for the individuals we serve.
