The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. NAMI Yolo County serves to carry out this commitment at the local level, offering education and support classes, managing a helpline for people seeking assistance with mental health resources, providing direct support (e.g., meals and activities), and advocating on mental health-related issues. The organization is grateful for and reliant on a large group of dedicated volunteers who provide thousands of hours of services and leadership and deliver many of the organization’s programs.

Mission

NAMI Yolo County provides advocacy, support, education, and public awareness so that all individuals and families who are affected by mental health conditions can build better lives.

Needs

NAMI Yolo County seeks to raise $25,500 to help support mental health in our community by providing free support groups, educational classes, and direct services to people living with mental illness and their families. Your gift will help NAMI Yolo County continue our important work, providing support and resources locally, because no one should have to face mental illness alone.

We cannot do it without you! Our donors make it possible for us to provide support groups, classes, and presentations at no cost to individuals who need them.

This season your support will...

1. Fund monthly meals for our CanDo program, allowing us to serve dinner once a month to mental health clients living in supportive housing residential homes in Yolo County

2. Allow us to provide support groups, mental health classes, and presentations for individuals living with mental health conditions and their families at no cost to the attendees

3. Help us advocate for housing, mental health and substance use programs, crisis services, and services and support for all ages

4. Fund our annual holiday gift program during the holiday season so that mental health clients in Yolo County receive something special

Your generosity makes it possible for individuals who are struggling with their mental health and their families to find support, build community, and access mental health resources. NAMI Yolo County relies on the generosity of its donors in order to provide support groups, classes, events, monthly meals for mental health clients, and more at no cost to them.
