We are a 100% volunteer organization. Since 2021, we have been organizing and participating in events to bring trees to the neighborhoods, the schools, and the parks of South Sacramento. We are dedicated to educating our community on the benefits of trees. Our goal is to achieve canopy equity with those areas of Sacramento that have lush canopies.
Promoting the growth and care of the South Sacramento Tree Canopy
Many of our organization’s ongoing expenses are not covered by grants, making donations from neighbors, friends, and local businesses essential to sustaining our work. Every dollar helps us plant another tree and grow a greener community.
As we are a 100% volunteer, member based organization, we do not have the kind of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion statement that would be needed for organizations with employees. Nevertheless, be assured that we do not allow race, sex, or age to factor in to allowing membership.
