The Markie Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to children’s hospice and helping to make a difference in the lives of terminally ill children and their families. We help fund programs that enable families to spend valuable time caring for and loving their sick child, who has a limited life expectancy.
The Markie Foundation was established in July 1999 to honor Mark Warren Wuelfing, who died at four months old from a severe neurological disorder. During his short time on earth, Markie had a positive impact on many people, who offered unconditional love and support as we cared for our sick baby.
Our purpose is to raise money for children’s hospice programs in Northern California and to help other families receive the quality hospice services needed while caring for a terminally ill child at home.
