$50,000 Goal

Make-A-Wish began in 1980, after seven-year-old Chris Greicius, who had leukemia, wished to be a police officer for a day in his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. Because those involved saw firsthand just how powerful the experience was for Chris, they decided to create the same magic for other children with critical medical conditions by forming Make-A-Wish.

Founded in 1983, Make-A-Wish Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada has granted more than 9,000 wishes in 40 years. All funds generated by the chapter are used to fulfill wishes for children in our 45-county area. For many, having a wish granted marks a turning point in the fight against their illness.

Mission

Together, we can create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
