Thank you for visiting Koinonia's (Koy-nuh-nee’-ahz) Giving Day page. Koinonia is a Greek word meaning “fellowship,” reflecting a committed, trustworthy, and dependable relationship. Since 1982, we have had the honor of serving children and families navigating child welfare.

As needs have grown, so has our continuum of care. We began with foundations in foster family recruitment, training, and evaluations, and expanded to meet the growing needs for therapeutic services through our Homes for Teens programs, including our Crisis Resolution Center and residential behavioral health programs. Over time, we have also developed Day Treatment, outpatient mental and behavioral health services, and adoption services. Today, we continue expanding our impact through our prevention services, including our Enhanced Care Management, Community Supports, Community Health Workers, and Healthy Families America programs, along with our Post-Adoption Wraparound program to support families beyond placement.

Through each of these services, our programs are designed to meet the complex and evolving needs of children and families. We are committed to supporting our foster parents as they nurture every aspect of a child’s emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical well-being. Grounded in compassion, quality care, and family-centered values, Koinonia has grown into a trusted partner in our communities, helping thousands of children find stability, belonging, and a path toward a brighter future.
