Kaladhaara, is a nonprofit registered dance Academy in Sacramento (US) to impart quality Indian classical performing arts (dance and music) for the holistic development of children living abroad. Kaladhaara organizes yearly workshops and annual performance to show case up and coming talents. Kaladhaara nurtures the talent in each student and customises lessons to the best of each students' capability to drive them to their milestone debuts and pre-debut performances by the students. Kaladhaara invites esteemed performing artists of various classical art forms from India and around the world, and hosts frequent performances, lectures, demonstrations and workshops.
The modest aim of Kaladhaara is to enrich and invigorate the lives of individuals from diverse backgrounds, through the prism of Bharatanatyam, to provide a dedicated platform to bridge the cultural gaps and establish a venue to demystify the ancient tenets of Natyshastra. Kaladhaara's approach to teaching Bharatanatyam is based on providing a wholesome experience that includes learning form and technique, foundational theory of dance, understanding the cultural significance, fostering creativity, all the while making it an enjoyable experience for the students.
