Invictus Youth Foundation

Invictus Youth Foundation is a non-profit, community based organization whose mission is to advance the youth and at-risk youth of the Sacramento region through programs that promote self-development, provide educational guidance, incorporate sports training, and encourage success. 

The Foundation is dedicated to providing programs and services through our “Village to Raise a Child” approach which will encompass the youth, parents, siblings, teachers, coaches, classmates, teammates, and neighborhoods in which youth in our program live and attend school. By positively impacting each of those spheres of influence of the youth in our program we can then better each youth’s probability for success in the community, classroom, fields of competition and most important, LIFE. 

The term “Invictus” is the title of a poem written by William Ernest Henley. The core meaning of the Invictus Foundation is derived from that poem: Though youth experience life adversity they remain unconquered, strong in spirit, and unafraid. They understand that they are accountable for their lives. Despite unfavourable odds they continue towards their dreams and goals. It is our hope that each youth in our program will know what CHARACTER is, make CHOICES that reflect the highest of INTEGRITY, are CONFIDENT in their ability to excel in ACADEMICS and strive to be a CHAMPION in every phase of their Lives.
