Mission
There is a shortage of non-profits and services to support youth and adults with substance abuse, special needs, foster children, abused and at risk children. Healing Pastures has worked hard to partner with youth groups, the American Cancer Society, CASA, the Interfaith Food Closet, and individuals in the community to offer our services in equine therapy. Our goals are to provide our animals with the best possible home so they in turn can provide the best possible services for our clients.
Some of the Donations made to Healing Pastures will be used for workers doing community services, California Conservation Corps and community service workers in general to form a full circle of giving, being rewarded for giving and then giving back. In order to provide these services, we need committed volunteers, funding for veterinary services, feed, farrier, and other horse and animal needs.
Other Donations to Healing Pastures will be used to support our work with CASA kids (Court Appointed Special Advocates) which works with abused and neglected children in the foster care system, individual children and adults seeking additional therapy assistance, our Cancer Survivors and Caregivers Support Group, local youth groups, and schools.
We provide many scholarships to youth who would not be able to afford our services. We hope to provide the light at the end of the tunnel for probation youth and all who do their community service here at Healing Pastures.
